Wordcatchers has made a mass exodus from the slush pile and into the table of contents of Kerlaks new dragon anthology, due out next year. Extra congrats go to Dave for a first time publishing credit, and Anne and Rachel for deuces. What a testament to the talent and hard work of all the Wordcatchers that out of 6 stories submitted, 6 were chosen from the hundreds of submissions sent in to Kerlak.

Jackie's short story "The Most Dangerous" will appear in Workers Write! Tales from the Couch by Blue Cubical Press. Workers Write! is an annual literary journal -- containing theme-oriented
collections of the best stories from the workplace. Matter-o-fact she was flattered to find out her story inspired the sub-title for this years anthology.

Our own dear Anne was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the Naka Kon Iron Fic writing contest, with her short story, “Sunshine Through the Clouds”. A description of the contest can be found on their website. The iron part came because they had to perform (write) live, under pressure, and under a time limit! Congrats Anne! The announcement can be found on the Con forum.

Angelia has an ebook coming out in Jan '08 from new ebook publisher, Circle Dark. Congratulations to Angelia for being there at the start of this publishing endeavor. You can read further details about the ebook here , including cautions about the graphic content. I believe "highly inappropriate for anyone under the age of 18" was the way they put it.
