We would like to thank Calvary Church of Cordova for their hospitality over the last couple of years. Calvary has allowed us to meet at their campus since the writers' group formed, and has always been a gracious host. As the group has grown, we feel the more central location of Germantown Library may better serve our ranks. Watch out though, Calvary, as we will likely come knocking on your door in November for National Novel Writing Month!

 Jackie had a story selected for the summer issue of Ankou, the digest of the IACP. "Emet Foley's Baby" is a tale of drama and hinted fantasy set in Searcy County, AR around the turn of the century. IACP is a great cause and you can read more about it on their website.

 Gentle Strength Quarterly has selected one of Jackie's stories, "Lincoln's Call", for publication in a future issue of their magazine. We will update you when we know in which issue her story will run.

 Jackie is going to have one of her stories, Dade's Special Lemon, in a future issue of MindFlights, an online magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction published by Double-Edged Publishing.

 Angelia has an ebook coming out in Jan '08 from new ebook publisher, Circle Dark. Congratulations to Angelia for being there at the start of this publishing endeavor. You can read further details about the ebook here , including cautions about the graphic content. I believe "highly inappropriate for anyone under the age of 18" was the way they put it.

 Jackie has a story, Meda's Clearing, that appears in Tales of Fantasy, by Kerlak Publishing. The list of authors includes a whos-who of local celebrity authors, hence the reason they had to have Jackie's story! Make sure you pick up a copy of this anthology (there is a link through Kerlak's website to Amazon), and enjoy Jackie's Darryl Award nominated story along with others.

 Our very own Chris Fink had a feature-story on the Oakland Christmas Parade in the Dec. 7th edition of Fayette County Review newspaper. They also ran one of Chris's photographs with the article. Look for more articles from Chris in this newspaper in the future! Congrats Chris!

 Our own Brad Robinson, aka Zorknot, has chalked up his first publishing cred with The First Line Literary Journal . Brad's story, Company Positions was selected for Vol. 9, Issue 3 (Fall 2007).
This was the first mass submission by Word Catchers to a short story market, and we're ecstatic that Brad's story was chosen for publication. Way to go Brad!!!
